We’ve had our wine cellar since we first purchased our home in Austin. Recently our cooling unit stopped working so we called Prestige. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and helped answer a lot of our questions on the phone. They sent a refrigeration tech out to diagnose the problem and ultimately we had to replace the unit. They sent Vintage Wine Storage to our home, picked up our entire wine collection, and stored it at their secure facility while the repairs were being done. Once the new cooling unit was installed, they brought back our collection and organized it exactly as it was. My wife and I are very impressed at the level of professionalism and expertise.

I had a friend recommend Prestige Wine Cellars for my custom wine cellar in Westlake Hills. MAN was I impressed with Andrew and his team. Their level of experience and knowledge when it came to temperature and humidity control for the wine cellar refrigeration was exactly what I needed to feel comfortable about using them. The design process was super smooth and Andrew absolutely nailed it the first time. Construction phase lasted about 3 weeks and there was a delay on the cooling unit but they communicated the entire time. We had to wait 8 weeks for the custom wine racking to arrive, which seems normal. Overall the entire process was fairly simple and we are thrilled with the final result. I will definitely be telling everyone I know what a great job Andrew and Prestige do.

Prestige did a phenomenal job repairing a disaster of a project originally constructed by another company. There are reputable companies in this niche space, and there are pretenders. Do your homework first, and eliminate the con-artists who promise top quality construction across the country at all the high end hotels, but deliver a sub-standard, deficient product the requires someone else to finish the job. Prestige’s carpenters were some of the best I’ve seen, did what they said they were going to do, and delivered a beautiful finished product on a 2,500 bottle cellar. If only I had chosen Prestige first, I would have had my cellar in months sooner, at a much lower cost, and a superior product. Kudos to Andrew and his team.

What Does a Custom Wine Cellar Cost?

No two Prestige cellars are alike, so no two investments are alike. Pricing depends on the dimensions of the space, the size of the cooling system, wood species, and the square footage of glass. Our residential projects start at $45k, with an average investment around $70k. Commercial projects start at $100k and average around $150k. Most projects take 12-16 weeks from start to finish, and only about 2-3 weeks of that is construction in your home. Before we begin, your detailed proposal outlines every material, specification, and cost with complete transparency.
