Reach-in
The cable
Hung, label to the room
In the cable bays, bottles hang label-forward on tensioned stainless cable, anchored at the floor on turnbuckles you can see. Against the dark quartzite they read as a column of labels in the air.
The bar bay
Your best bottles, and the glasses
Behind the left door leaf, floating walnut shelves hold the bottles you are proud of, a decanter and the stemware. Open one pair of doors and the cellar and the bar are both in front of you.
The transoms
Look up
Above the doors a full row of transom glass carries the steel grid to the ceiling. It is the detail that makes a reach-in wall feel like a window into another room.
The wall
Steel, stone and walnut
A blackened-steel mullion grid, a full-height slab of veined grey quartzite and warm walnut, drawn flush with the bar millwork either side. It belongs in a great room that opens to the outdoors.
FINISH
The Transom
Four ways
Tap a finish to sweep it across the room. As shown is included; the alternates change the timber and metal and leave the design untouched. The edition is ten across every finish, so a finish no one else chooses can be yours alone.

Edition of Ten

Three decisions: how deep it runs, which specification, and how you’d like it delivered. Cooling, structural load and engineering are ours — they’re never a question you have to answer.
The Transom is shown at about 85 bottles. It is drawn to your room on commission rather than sold in sizes: the mullion grid, the transom row and the bar bay hold their proportion, and capacity follows the room. Counts are confirmed at specification.

Have this configuration sent to you
We'll email the specification exactly as you've built it. No obligation, no drawings released.
Pricing shown is indicative. Final price is confirmed after field verification of your opening.
What Design Plans includes
Full architectural drawings dimensioned to your verified opening — plan, elevations, sections and details — plus structural load calculations, a complete material schedule listing every component, finish and quantity, and the cooling specification sized for your configuration. A licensed set, not a sketch.
Materials are not supplied at this level. Our racking, glass and cooling partners sell through authorised dealers only, so if you’d like us to supply and crate the components, choose Design + Materials.
Credited if you upgrade. The full plans fee is credited toward Design + Materials or Design + Build if you move up within twelve months.
Licensed for one build at one address. Not transferable and not for resale.
Provenance
Drawn, then built.
The Transom is a concept from the Prestige studio: a blackened-steel window-wall with a row of transom glass running across the top to the ceiling. Behind it, about 85 bottles hang label-forward on tensioned cable in front of a full-height grey quartzite slab, and a walnut display bay behind the doors holds the best bottles, a decanter and the stemware.
The cellar and the bar sit behind one pair of doors. It is drawn on commission, to your wall, with the mullion grid set to your opening and your ceiling.
1
Row of transoms
Steel and glass carried right up to the ceiling, so the wall reads as architecture.
2
Behind one pair of doors
The cellar and the bar: wine on cable, glasses and a decanter on walnut.

Questions
Answered.
Who installs it?
Your own contractor. Every edition is engineered as a complete wine cellar kit — components arrive crated, numbered and drawn to your verified opening, with an installation set a competent carpenter can work from. No specialty glazier, no factory crew flown across the country. In Texas we install it ourselves if you’d rather.
Will it fit my space?
Almost certainly, and it won’t need to be a standard size.
The Transom is drawn to your verified opening rather than to a catalogue dimension.
It scales across Drawn to your wall · transom row to the ceiling, and the proportions hold at any size in that range.
What happens if a measurement is wrong?
The sequence is built to prevent it. The channel and framing ship first and are installed before anything is cut. Your contractor then returns signed, verified opening dimensions, and only then is the glass cut and the racking finalised. Nothing expensive is fabricated against a number nobody has checked.
What’s included, and what isn’t?
Included: the architectural drawing set, all racking and display components, glass, lighting, hardware, the cooling unit sized for your configuration, and crated delivery. Not included: the wall or enclosure itself, electrical supply, and finish work by others. The drawing set states exactly which trades you need and what each is responsible for.
How long does it take?
It varies with the design — components are fabricated in parallel, and the longest one sets the schedule. Millwork runs eight to twelve weeks; metalwork two to four; frameless glass and mirrors about two; the cooling unit about two. Insulated glass doors are the long lead at twelve to sixteen weeks. Your drawing set states the schedule for your exact configuration before anything is fabricated.
What happens if the cooling fails?
Cooling is the one part that fails invisibly — you don’t find out until the wine does. Every edition is sized and specified by us rather than chosen from a list, and Prestige Care covers it from there. If a unit needs a technician the $500 service call is credited toward a replacement.
Is it really only ten?
Yes. Ten of each design, each numbered and recorded in the registry, and then the edition closes for good. The drawings aren’t reissued and the design isn’t rerun under another name.
Can I change the materials?
Yes — that’s Custom, available on any edition. Species, stain, metal finish, glass and stone are chosen with us rather than from a list, and layout or proportions can change too. Still numbered, still part of the edition, and priced above the authored finishes.
